Universal Music, home to some of the biggest names in pop music, are running a competition to find Britain’s best parish or community choir.
The UK is known as a nation that loves to sing and so much of that stems from the choral tradition. So many people’s first experience of music is in their local church or community choir and it is sound that conjures up images of rolling hills, green fields and everything that is great about Britain.
The winner of the competition not only wins a record deal with Universal Music to make an album of Britain’s best loved Hymns but also will get the chance to sing at the Royal Albert Hall on 30th September as part of the Classic FM live concert.
